THE CDA is responsible for the upkeep of the capital city but it has miserably failed to do so. The capital has been converted into a garbage dump.
The CDA chairman has not yet been able to produce positive results. The parks have become forests, roads are broken, streetlights are out of order, while footpaths are in poor condition.
A majority of CDA employees are never present on duty. They get their salaries while sitting at home. There is a need to revamp the system and clean up the CDA.
I request the mayor to take a bold step and start cleaning up the mess without succumbing to political pressures.
