Measles epidemic in Sindh

2013-01-09
IN any developed country the government puts its full efforts to ensure good health for its citizens but, unfortunately, in Pakistan children are facing enormous problems.

By and large, every government has failed to provide basic facilities.

People are unaware of the seriousness of the disease.

In the recent epidemic of measles affecting areas of Sindh, according to WHO reports, 210 children have died.

It`s a very alarming situation for the health ministry of Sindh.

Owing to the government negligence, children are dying daily while the government says that only 25 children have died.

It is the government`s responsibility to save children from the various life-threatening diseases.

It is my humble request to the government that in view of the seriousness of the matter it must take an initiative for creating awareness about the various diseases that are claiming lives of the people.
