Second police service centre inaugurated

LAHORE: Inspector General of Punjab Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera inaugurated the second Police Service Centre at the Moon Market here on Friday.
The public can avail themselves of 10 different police services at the centre, including a copy of an FIR, learning driving, renewal of licence, duplication of license, international driving licence, character certificate, police verification and report of lost documents especially the ID card.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the IGP said the terror organisation IS did not exist in Punjab.
He said all law enforcing agencies were equally vigilant and were monitoring the situation and no organisation would be allowed to flourish in the province.
He said the Punjab police were speedily achieving goals designed to facilitatethe public for the provision of police services under one roof.
Lauding the services of the Lahore police in facilitating the general public and maintaining law and order, the IGP said the target of establishing 10 service centers in Lahore would soon be achieved.
He said the scheme would later be replicated across Punjab so as to provide relief to all people in the province.
DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf briefed the IGP that the people could get the legal opinion regarding the procedure of any kind of police service.
Lodging of a vehicle theft report and veriñcation of domestic servants before hiring could also be got through these service centers, he said.
CCPO retired Capt Amin Wains, DIG (Investigations) Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DCO retired Captain Mohammad Usman and other senior police ofHcers were also present.
