LAHORE: A judicial magistrate at Cantonment courts on Friday sent eight suspects involved in gang rape of a teenaged student to jail on judicial remand.

Racecourse police produced prime suspect-Adnan and his accomplices Abdul Majid, Umar, Ameer Ahmad, Haris, Bilawal, Imran Shahid and Qamar Zaman before the court. The inquiry officer told the court that investigation had beencompleted and further custody of the suspects was not required.

He also submitted an interim challan of the case.

At this the magistrate sent the suspects on judicial remand and directed the police to submit complete challan on the next hearing.

The suspects allegedly abducted the 15-year-old girl from Multan Road and tookhertoaguesthouse on The Mall where they subjected her to gang rape.
