RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police have been instructed to strengthen security of police stations and posts in the wake of the armed attack on a police station in the Faisalabad district, which resulted into the deaths ofthreebrothersin the police lockup.

A directive issued by the SSP Operation Hafiz Kamran Asghar to all SDPOs and SPs that following the current security situation, to make foolproof security arrangements of police establishments especially around police s tations and police posts.

The police have been directed to strictly implement the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of security, especially for lock-ups of police stations and post.

SSP Asghar further directed to deploy armed police personnel at the rooftops and main gates of the police stations and posts.-Staff Reporter
