KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf has said that Aman Exercise demonstrates Pakistan`s commitment to peace, reinforces regional maritime security and enhances interoperability between regional and extr a-regional navies.

He said this during his visits to the foreign ships of navies participating in the ninth Multinational Naval Exercise Aman-25.

The naval chief was warmly welcomed by sen-ior officers and commanding officers on his arrival onboard the foreign visiting ships. He was also presented a guard of honour by smartly dressed contingents.

The CNS visited the ships of the Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the UAE and the USA navies, which are among the platforms participating in Aman-25.

In addition to interacting with senior officers and commanding officers, the admiral was given briefings onboard the ships.During the interactions, the admiral emphasised that Pakistan believes in collaborative efforts for maritime security and maintaining good order at sea.

In the same spirit, the Pakistan Navy is persistently contributing to regional peace and stability through initiatives such as the Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) and the MultinationalExercise Aman.

The naval chief expressed confidence that the cooperation and partnerships fostered through Aman would continue to grow in the future, bringing them closer to the shared goal of peace and prosperity.

He appreciated the participation of navies in Aman Exercise to fulfil the common resolve of `Together for Peace`.
