PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday arrested a police inspector for allegedly making illegal assets worth millions of rupees.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the NAB said that a complaint was received against Inspector Gul Hameed Khan, presently posted as SHO Bannu city police station, that he had accumulated huge assets, including a house in Bannu city, several plots in Lakki Marwat, done heavy investments in national saving schemes and had ill gotten money in his and his family`s bank accounts.

The NAB took cognisance of the case and launched an inquiry, which revealed that the allegations against the police official were true.

NAB would produce the cop in the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand.-Bureau Report
