Free eye camp

LAHORE: As many as 5,000 patients received free medical eye checkupsatathree-dayfree eye camp in Rajanpur on Tuesday.

Khwaja Fareed Foundation, Kot Mithan, a non-government organisation (NGO), had organised the mega free eye camp, in which 1,070 cataract surgeries were performed, and over 5,000 patients received free medical eye check-ups.

Social Welfare Deputy Director Shazia Nawaz made efforts to organise the camp for preventionand cure of blindness.

The three-day camp was led by eye specialist Dr Abrar Hussain.

Rajanpur Deputy C o m m i s s i o n e r Shafgatullah Mushtaq paid a special visit to the camp, interacted with the people and expressed gratitude to the organisers of the camp.

He emphasised that the government and generous individuals must join hands to work for the welfare of the people and such initiatives should be held repeatedly.

MNA Sardar Shamshair Khan Mazari and MPA Khizer Khan Mazari also visited and appreciated.
