Man killed, two injured in cylinder blast

GUJRANWALA: A man was killed and two others suffered serious burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion caused by illegal refilling in Rahwali on Tuesday.
Cantonment police have registered a case against two shopkeepers allegedly responsible for the incident.
According to the FIR filed by Imran, of Targari Road, he and his 47-yearold brother Irfan were shopping near Pully Stop when they passed a shop where gas cylinders were being refilled illegally.
The shop, reportedly oper ating without authorisation, was being run by Yousaf Mughal and Usman.
Sarfraz, 45, of Ghujurwali, was also present at the shop at the time. Due to alleged negligence during the refilling process, a gas cylinder explode d with a loud blast.
Both Irfan and Sarfraz sustained critical burns and were rushed to hospital, where Irfan later died.
Following the incident, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
TOXIC MILK: Three children were taken tohospital after reportedly consuming milk contaminated by a lizard in the Shish Mahal area of Wazirabad on Tuesday.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Javed`s wife boiled milk and left it to cool. A lizard is believed to have fallen into the milk from a nearby wall.
Unaware of the contamination, she later fed the same milk to her children Siddig, Umar and Arifa through feeding bottles.
She only discovered the issue after noticing the lizard floating in the milk pot. She rushed the children to the Civil Hospital of Wazirabad, where their stomachs were immediately washed.
The children were later referred to a hospital in Gujranwala for further care.
Hospital sources said their condition was stable.
RAPE: A 13-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by three people in the Kalo Kalan area near Wahndo on Tuesday.
According to police, the suspects lured the child into the fields where the assault took place. Wahndo Police have registered a case.
