FOLLOWING a failed attempt to gather public by repeating the mantra mujhe kiu nikala, Nawaz Sharif has now launched a new rhetoric by chanting vote ko izzat do (honour the vote).
Itis no secret that thisis yet another attempt to pressure the establishment and the judiciary, which, to him, are hand in glove to throw him into the archives of history.
The stand is so ironic that it brings to mymind the words: `Look, who is talking`.
How much respect do all these politicians including Nawaz have for vote and voter? Where was the Sharif respect for voters when 14 people were shot dead at Model Town, Lahore? Why does the pain for the respect for voters pass by their conscience without giving any vibe to it every time when a baby is born at the doorstep of hospital? Where does the respect for voter go when youth ask to be recruited on merit? There are so many genuine parameters that can give us an indication of how much respectvotershave been given by these very advocates of vote ko izzat do.
