LAHORE: A team of the LDA`s directorate of estate management (private housing schemes) on Wednesday launched a mega operation at Ahloowala Road (Ferozepur Road area) and dismantled boundary walls, offices, sewerage, roads and other infrastructure of five illegally developed housing societies.

The schemes where the operation was launched included Malik Ashraf Awan Colony, New Green City, Noor Park, Bismillah Avenue and Fahad City, according to a spokesman.

Meanwhile for ensuring transparency in execution of development projects, an LDA team headed by Additional Director General (Urban Planning) Rana Tika Khan visited various roads earmarked for rehabilitation and improvement in Allama Iqbal Town and Samanabad on Wednesday.

The team verified the locations and estimates of these schemes, according to a press release.-Staff Reporter
