TAXILA: A dispute over a pigeon claimed life in village Shahdhair in the limits of Hazro police station of Attock on Sunday.

Police sources said victim Khalid Mehmood had a few pairs of pigeons on the rooftop of his house. On Saturday, one of the pigeons flew and landed on the rooftop of his neighbour Usman Khan who caught it.

According to police, when Khalid demanded his pigeon back, Usman refused to return it and both quarreled but some villagers settled their dispute. When Khalid was returning home after offering Zohar prayers, Usman intercepted and shot him dead and fled .

Later the victim`s body was handed over to the fam11y for burial after autopsy at Tehsil Headquartes Hospital. Police have registered a case and startedfurther investigation.

Gang busted The Taxila police on Sunday busted a gang involved in the street crimes and arrested their three members besides recovering looted items and weapons.

ASP Waqas Khan said the gang known as `Niazi gang` had been involved in street crimes including snatching cash and valuables from motorcyclists last month.

He said a team led by Taxila police SHO traced the gang and after a successful raid arrested all the members of the gang. Correspondent
