R A W A L P I N D I : Commissioner Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday expressed concerns over slow pace of work at Kahuta Trauma Centre and asked the building department to speed up the work on the project to complete it before the end of the fiscal year.

He visited Kahuta Tehsil to inspect the Trauma Centre as well as Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

He directed departmental enquiry against Chief Municipal Officer Kahuta for being absent from the duty.

The commissioner said the purpose of launching public welfare projects was to provide relief to the people while undue delay causes inconvenience. He visited the inner city and instructed to improve roads. Later, he also visited Narr and gave instructions for the removal of encroachments along the roadsides.

He said Narr was rich in natural beauty and roads would be improved to make it attractive for the tourists.

He said promotion of tourism would also improve the living standard of local people. Staff Reporter
