SHIKARPUR: A group of armed men, stated to be members of the Jatoi tribe, opened an indiscriminate fire on some villagers working infields near Saad Khanani Jatoi village, some 40 kilometres from here, leaving one of them dead and five others wounded on Wednesday, an officer at the Faizo police station said.

SHO Manthar Ali Sharsaid that the attackers fled after committing the crime.

He said initial investigation suggested that the attackers and victims belonged to the same tribe and were embroiled in a dispute over a murder of a man that hadtaken place a couple of years ago.The officer identified the deceased victim as Hadi Bukhsh,19,sonofJamaluddin Jatoi, and the wounded victims as Abdullah, Rahim Bukhsh, Dur Mohammed, Wahid Dino and Sadaruddin.
