2023-06-09
LAHORE: The family of a young man who was allegedly murdered in the UAE some three months back received his body here on Thursday.

The body of Zain, 30, a resident of RA Bazaar, was found in a sack in the month of March in the UAE where he was living to earn his livelihood.

His parents told the media persons that Zain was sharing accommodation with an Indian citizen, Khalil, in Sharjah. They said he had moved to the UAE in Octoberof last year and they lost contact with him on Nov 9. They tried to contact the UAE authorities through the Pakistan Embassy and other sources to know what had happened to their young son. They were informed in March that his body was found in another city of the UAE and they received the body on Thursday.

The ill-fated family has appealed to the Pakistani authorities to officially plead the murder case of their son with the UAE government for the arrest of the killer(s)as they were being kept in the dark about the motive behind their son`s murder.

The parents of the deceased told the media that Khalil, who was sharing accommodation with Zain, used his credit card in Sharjah after his murder. He again used the same card in the Indian Punjab, they said, suspecting that Khalil was directly or indirectly involved in the killing of their son. They said the UAE police must investigate the matter by arresting the Indian citizen. Staff Reporter
