MANSEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-Parliamentarians chairman Pervez Khattak on Friday unveiled his party`s election manifesto and said after coming to power, the party would claim all rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the centre.
He told a public meeting in the Baffa area here that Wapda paid just Rs3 per unit for the electricity produced by KP but sold the same to itfor Rs45 per unit in an act of injustice.
The PTI-P claimed that former prime minister Imran Khan claimed credit for the launch of all mega development projects, health insurance scheme and policy reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa though they`re initiated by him (Khattak) and his party`s vice-chairman Mahmood Khan as the chief ministers.
He said that the PTI and its chairman had no public support in the province and other parts of the country due to their wrong policies pursued during the three and a half years long rule in the centre.
Mr Khattak said that he left the Pakistan Peoples Party to join the PTI just tohelp steer the country out of economic and political crises, but both parties turned out to be two faces of the same coin.
He said that he remained part of parliament for a long time and worked with all major political parties but thought that their leaders were corrupt and their politics were limited to their families and were meant to make money instead of addressing inflation, poverty and unemployment in the country.
On the occasion, PTI-P vice-chairman Mahmood Khan said that he didn`t want to assail Imran Khan and his party and would assure people that if his party came to power, their socioeconomic conditions would improve significantly. He said that the country was passing through a difficult juncture of its history with corruption being the only reason.
`If people elect us, we will bring revolutionary improvements in their lives,` he said.
Former federal parliamentary secretary Salah Mohammad Khan said that Army Chief General Asim Munir deserved praise for taking effective measures for the country`s development.
He said that politicians and the security establishment should be on the same page to steer the country out of current economic and political turmoil.
Former provincial minister Ahmad Hussain Shah also addressed the gathering.
