ISLAMABAD: A group of individuals attempted to kidnap a man from his home.

Police said that three armed men entered the house of Sohail Ahmed from the main gate. They held the residents at gunpoint and demanded cash and valuables.

When Ahmed handed them Rs17,000 saying that was all the cash in the house, the robbers also stole gold ornaments and valuables, including the victims` mobile phones.

They then took Ahmed to a bank so he could withdraw money to give to them.

However, the police intercepted kidnappers at the Khyber Chowk checkpoint, and arrested the robbers and recovered Ahmed, as well as the booty.Staff Report
