KARACHI: Minister for Interior and Planning Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday dismissed a summary sent to him regarding a holiday on Thursday, Nov 9, to mark Allama Iqbal`s birthday.

The annual Iqbal Day holiday was cancelled by former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan three years ago.

The ministerial change brought back hopes for fresh review and possible reversal of the old order, which did not happen.
