New entrants say PTI can deliver

2017-11-09
SWABI: Local political activists who recently parted ways with PML-N and joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have said that the latter has the potential to deliver according to their expectations.

Talking to this correspondent, Syed Abdul Bacha, former district information secretary of PML-N, said that he and his supporters had got nothing except frustration from the party. Asked about reasons for quitting PML-N, he said that its government had failed to resolve basic issues of the people such as curbing corruption and unemployment. Ali Hussain, Topi tehsil councillor, said that under the prevailing circumstances it was hard for him to continue with the party because they had witnessed that the country had been facing crises due to wrong policies of the PML-N rulers.

It has been learnt that the PTI leadership had worked hard to lure Mr Hussain along with his supporters.

Behrul Amin, another tehsil councillor of Gadoon Amazai region, claimed that the people of the country were fed up with the PML-N policies and wanted change which was expected to come through PTI chairman Imran Khan.

`Imran Khan is determined to bring positive change, which would provide social justice and solution of various problems of the people,` he said.

CHARAS SEIZED: The police here on Wednesday foiled an attempt of smuggling charas to Punjab from Peshawar.
