Stopping drone strikes PTI chief advised to use diplomatic means

MANSEHRA, Dec 8: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf has said that if Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf chairman Imran Khan is sincere in getting the country rid of American drone strikes he should leave agitation and use diplomatic means for it.

`We are taking up this issue at every diplomatic forum for halting drone strikes. I ask Imran Khan to leave agitation and utilise diplomatic means to get the desired results,` said Mr Yousuf while speaking to mediapersons in Oghi here on Sunday.

The minister claimed that drones strikes could not be restricted through halting Nato supplies. He said that the PTI should focus on the government affairs and provide relief to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that the government had been making sincere efforts for restoring talks process with Taliban and soon a good news was expected in thisregard.

He said that once militancy was rooted out from the country other issues would be easy to resolve. He said that people would soon witness a positive changes in government affairs. He claimed that the Prime Minister`s Youth Business Loan Scheme would bring a major change in the life of people.

He condemned the killing of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat leader Maulana Shamsur Rehman. He said that a conference would soon be organisesd in Islamabad in which religious leaders from all sects would be invited to evolve a code of ethics to curb such incidents in future.

`We have planned a religious moot in Islamabad soon to evolve a code of conduct for every sect, which might curb attacks on ulema and scholars,` said Mr Yousuf.

MPA Wajihuzzaman was also present on the occasion. FUN GALA: Jinnah Basic School and Girls College organised a fun and food gala here the other day, which attracted a large number of housewives, children and girl students from the nearby schools and colleges.

The visitors and students showed great interest in stalls of food, cloth, artificial jewellery and other items set up on this occasion.

Magic show, face painting and singing events were also organised which kept the participants busy. The children also enjoyed camel and horse ride.

The visiting women appealed to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to take steps for creation of parks in Mansehra where women could pass their leisure time.
