USAID official visits projects in northern Sindh

SUKKUR: USAID deputy mission director Denise Herbol visited various projects funded by her organisation in Sukkur, Khairpur and Jacobabad during her two-day trip to northern areas of Sindh, says a press release on Thursday.

She inspected the sites of the projects supported by the USAID in Khairpur and discussed with DHO during a visit to district health office ongoing support of community midwives and Lady Willington hospital.

Earlier, she visited the near completion Modern High School on Minara Road in Sukkur which was being constructed under Sindh Basic Education Program and met the headmaster, chairman of school management committee and staff of the construction and community mobilization components of USAID.

Afterwards, she went to the Mir Masoom Shah Library on the Minara Road which was supported by Sindh Reading Program.

In Jacobabad on Wednesday, she visited the Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS), met the JIMS Director Brig Zubair Sheikh, staff and patients and discussed with them services and functions of the hospital.

Ms Herbol also visited the construction sites of Jacobabad Municipal Services Program.
