RAWALPINDI: Telephonic negotiations with the kidnappers of a teenage boy for Rs20 million ransom entered sixth day with the gang asking the family to pay the amount by Sunday night.

But as the deadline approached, the kidnappers reduced their demand to Rs6 million. So far, they have allowed the kidnapped victim to talk to his parents once.

According to the police, the boy told his parents on the phone: `Please get me released from the captivity of the kidnappers. I am in trouble.

In the meantime, the father of the kidnap victim, who was settled in Dubai, has returned home and is coordinating with the police to get his son released.

Since the boy was kidnapped from Sadigabad on Monday, his parents have received three phone calls from the kidnappers.

Initially, the kidnappers demanded Rs20 million for the release of the boy but after negotiations with the parents they reduced the amount to Rs6 million.

Police believed that the call had been made from Peshawar.

However, they suspected that the boy had been detained somewhere else.

A police official said they could not conduct any raid unless the exact location of the kidnappers was traced.
