LAHORE: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadig on Thursday barred the media from covering his question-answer session with the students of Kinnaird College.

After addressing the students in connection with a sports event, Mr Sadiq asked the media to leave the venue. When cameramen did not move their equipment on his `order`, he told them: `No movement! .

Since they were invited by the Press Information Department (PID) on an emergent notice, the media persons protested against the Speal(er`s attitude and asked why they were invited if Mr Sadiq did not want to say things on record.

A KC student said Mr Sadiq did not want media coverage of his interaction with students because he expected some tough questions.

She said the KC administration did not allow media coverage of many of the events held at the institution.
