ISLAMABAD: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in the capital, police said on Thursday.

A pedestrian, Abdul HameedAwan,55,waskilled after he was hit by a speeding vehicle on the Islamabad Expressway. He suffered multiple injuries from the collision, which occurred near the Sohan traffic signal.

The driver fled, leaving the victim on the road, the police said. Awan was taken to a hospitalwherehewaspronounced dead.-Staff Reporter
