The SP said Razia`s family suspected that she might have been murdered by the family of her former husband. On the request of her parents, he added, the police questioned her first husband whowas a labourer by profession. He said the police also questioned some family members of Waqas as Razia had lodged complaints against his brothers following some domestic disputes, SP Bilal said the police had not reached any conclusion yet but believed that Razia, her daughter and husband were murdered over family disputes. It was yet to be established whether the alleged killers were from her current inlaws or from the family of her former husband, he added.

The bodies have been shifted to the morgue for autopsy and a case would be registered when a written complaint would be received, the SP Cantt said.

NO CLUE: The police have yet to find a clue in their search for the murderers of four members of a family at theirhome in Green Town on Sunday night.

The police said on Monday the relatives could not be accessed on the second day oftheincident.

Gunmen had killed head of the family Ishaq, 65, his son Abuzar, 20, and daughters Atika, 35, Hafsa, 28, and Urwa, 19, in their residence and fled.

Of them, four died on the spot while Urwa was rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition where she was struggling for life due to profound bullet wounds.

A police official said the slain children`s mother was also present in the house when gunmen wreaked havoc in the family. He said she survived the armed attack because she was cooking food at the kitchen.

The police are awaiting statement ofthe woman who survived and her other relatives.

`As our investigations largely depend upon the only witness of the incident the mother of the children we are waiting her statement`, Sadar Division Investigation SP Qamar Mansoor told Dawn.

He said the police were not investigating the case because the woman who survived the armed attack and her other close relatives were still in immense shock on the second day of the incident.

He said the police had nothing important to share so far. He also denied the attackers were riding motorcycles.

`The armed men came on foot and disappeared in streets after killing the people,` Mr Mansoor said.
