RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three people were killed and five others injured in different accidents here on Monday.

In the first incident, a car collided with an overturned truck near Murid Shakh Canal on SukkurMultan Motorway (M-5), some 62-kms from here.

As a result, Ali Ayaz (22) and Muhammad Imran, residents of Sargodha, were 1(illed on the spot while Zeeshan (30), Muhammad Oun (32) of Sargodha and Imran (28) of Khushab were critically injured and shifted to Shaikh Zayed Medical College Hospital.

A mentally challenged person was killed after being hit by a Lahore-bound goods train near Lunda Phattak of Faizabad area in Khanpur tehsil.

In another incident, two men were injured when two motorcycles collided with each other and then struck against a van near Shamasabad Bridge on Garhi Ikhtlyar Khan Road of Khanpur Tehsil.

The injured identified as Muhammad Nadeem (30) and Saba (30) of Garhi Ikhtiyar Khan were shifted to Khanpur THQ Hospital.

`TAINTED` LIQUOR: Two men died after consuming `tainted` liquor in Abdul Aziz Kata locality near Chowk Sewetra of Sadiqabad tehsil while third fainted who was shifted to Sadiqabad THQ Hospital.
