`Gas leakage` Three suffer burns in wedding hall kitchen fire

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three employees of a wedding hall near Kashmir Bridge on the Canal Road, Faisalabad, suffered serious burns when a fire broke out in the kitchen due to a gas leakage on Sunday.
Rescue 1122 says due to a leakage the gas had accumulated in the wedding hall`s kitchen and as soon as an employee lit a matchstick to ignite an oven, a fire erupted with a blast and engulfed the whole kitchen.
As a result two of the employees,identified as Waqas Akram (23) and Mahboob Ahmad (21), both of Pakpattan, and Ali Idrees (16) of Okara, suffered serious burns.
They were shifted to burns unit of the Allied Hospital.
POISONED: A wholesale garment dealer of Muzaffargarh was allegedly poisoned to death by someone in Faisalabad`s Madina Town area on Sunday.
Allah Ditta, father of the deceased, Bilal, stated in the FIR registered by Madina Town police under section 302 of the PPC that his son had come to Faisalabad where he was found unconscious near Gulshan Sweet Shop located on Jaranwala Road on Saturday night.
He was shifted to the DHQ hospital by Rescue 1122, where he died later.
The complainant added that someone poisoned his son to death.
KILLED: A man was allegedly tortured to death by two brothers over a minor quarrel at Chak412 GB, Tandlianwala, Faisalabad on Sunday.
Complainant Robina Bibi, daughter of the de ceased, Tufail (50) said in the FIR registered under sections 302 and 34 of the PPC that her father was tortured to death by two brothers, Waseem and Nadeem during a quarrel over keeping cattle in front of the victim`s house.
RATION PACKS: A Turkish organisation, Dianat Foundation, distributed Ramazan ration packs among 300 men and women at a marriage hall at Khanewal on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Salma Suleman and Turkish Embassy official Dr Alam Khan were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Dr Alam Khan said that Dianat Foundation was distributing Ramazan ration packs to the Muslim community people in 80 countries all over the world.
A R R E S T E D : Faisalabad FIA composite circle team on Sunday conducted a raid in Gujranwala, arresting an alleged human smugglers belonging to notorious `Chinioti gang` involved in extortion of Rs40 million from 34 persons on the pretext of sending them to Europe.
An FIA official says that before the arrest of accused, Ghulam Mustafa, the agency had nabbed nine members of the gang.
He said two other gang members are operating a human trafficking network from abroad and efforts were underway to extradite them through Interpol.
