DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A plantation drive was launched at Police Training School, Ratta Kalachi, by the district administration here the other day.

Senior officials of police, forest department and district administration attended the event. Additional Deputy Commissioner Adnan Jameel and Assistant C o m m i s s i o n e r Mohammad Faseeh Ishaq Abbasi planted saplings to launch the drive. They highlighted the importance of trees and said that plantation was not only essential for protection of environment but also for a better future.

The deputy commissioner said that a spring tree plantation campaign was under way in the district to plant saplings at government offices, educational institutions and other locations.

He said that district administration was committed to promoting plantation under Billion Tree Plus Plantation Programme to maintain ecological balance and provide a clean and pleasant environment to future generations.

He urged people to actively participate in the campaign to create a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
