Tributes paid to late Ejaz Sarwar

ISLAMABAD: A solemn condolence meeting was held at the Information Services Academy to pay tributes to late Khawja Ejaz Sarwar, former federal secretary, says a press release here on Friday.

The gathering was attended by serving and retired officers of the Information Group as well as prominent journalists, reflecting the profound respect the late bureaucrat commanded across professional and personal circles.

The event was marked by heartfelt tributes from senior bureaucrats and media personalities who highlighted the immense contributions of Khawja Ejaz Sarwar to theinformation ministry and the nation at large.

Former federal secretary Ashfaq Gondal in his address fondly recalled his longstanding association with Khawja Sarwar.

He described him as a guiding figure known for his calm demeanor, unwavering professionalism, and generous mentorship.

`He was always ready to support his juniors and handled challenges with grace-qualities that remain exemplary for today`s officers,` Mr Gondal said.

Former additional secretary Ahsan Yousaf emphasised the late secretary`s pivotal role in strengthening the professional capacity of the ministry and nurturing the Information Group officers.`Khawja Sahib was a kindhearted individual whose efforts left a lasting imprint on the institution,` he noted.

Sajida Iqbal, also a former officer, shared a personal connection with the deceased, stating that both hailed from Attock. She remembered Khawja Sarwar as a staunch advocate for his colleagues` rights, always extending his support when needed.

`He was a pillar of strength for many of us,` she said.

Prominent journalist Javed Siddique lauded Khawja Sarwar`s deep commitment to journalistic integrityandgovernance.

`His professionalism and balanced approach were appreciated across media circles,` he remarked.
