Career fair at UET

LAHORE: Around 20 national,multinationalindustrial concerns and software houses set up stalls at the first Industrial Open House and Career Fair 2015 that began at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on Tuesday.

UET Vice Chancellor Fazal Ahmad Khalid formally inaugurated the twoday fair along with Millat Tractors Managing Director Sikandar Mustafa.

Prof Khalid, in his inaugural speech, thanked Dr Parvez Mughal and Dr Shafique for organising the fair aimed at seeking jobs for graduates and provision of internship opportunities for students.

Mr Mustafa termed the initiative a chance for graduates to interact with the industry.

The open house would be instrumental in job placement of fresh graduates with the leading national and multinational companies and industries, he said.

Around 2,500 graduates in the disciplines of engineering, information technology, architecture, town planning and business management submitted their CVs to the companies on the inauguralday ofthefair.
