T HE PML-N government issued free laptops to BS, MA and MSc students in Punjab. After the programme`s success, students of lower classes were also included in the scheme. Then the scheme was extended to the whole of Pakistan in which MPhil and PhD students were issued laptops after meeting the criterion set bythe Higher Education Commision. Later, BS, MA and MSc students were also included in the scheme.
I appeal to the Sindh government to introduce a scheme in which a monthly monetary grant of Rs10,000 is given to PhD students and Rs5,000 to MPhil students belonging to rural areas.
