MANSEHRA: The scheduled visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Upper Kohistan district to inaugurate work on the Dasu hydropower project was postponed at the 11th hour late on Sunday evening.
The prime minister was due in Upper Kohistan to inaugurate construction work on 4,200 megawatt Dasu hydropower project and address a public gathering today (Monday), but it was cancelled late on Sunday night without giving any reason.
`The PM`s visit to Kohistan is cancelled and new date will be announced later,` Mohammad Asif, deputy commissioner Upper Kohistan, told reporters late in the evening. Earlier in the day, a meeting of MPL-N chaired by parliamentary secretary for industry and MNA Sarzameen Khan finalised preparations for the public gathering, where the PM was to make a speech.-Correspondent
