Hindu capital in Pak

2022-07-10
EDITORIAL: Hindu hostility to Pakistan has lately manifested itself in the flight of capital and the shifting of business headquarters from Karachi and Lahore to cities in Hindustan. A well-known Lahore bank having a network of branches in Western Pakistan has recently shifted its registered office from that city to Delhi while another bank of the same city has moved its head of fice to a small town in Eastern Punjab, which is least known commercially.

The total of Hindu capital transferred so far from the Punjab to `safe` zones in Hindustan is estimated at over two hundred crores of rupees.

In Karachi, things are somewhat different. For the past several days there has been a series of runs on some of the local banks.

Behind this ill-advised and hasty act on the part of Hindu capitalists lie the deep-seated suspicions and fear engendered by unscrupulous anti-Pakistan propagandists that the Pakistan Government would either freeze or expropriate all private monies in banks and other assets. ..

What we must point out ... to these misguided Hindu capitalists is that they have allowed themselves to be duped by the sneaky propaganda of snaky anti-Pakistan elements. Dawn Delhi
