LAHORE: Police on Sunday arrested three suspects involved in torturing two car riders in the DHA.

A video circulating on social media showed a mini-car stopping on the road in DHA Phase-I and a double cabin approaching it at 12:15am on Saturday night. It showed four persons coming out of the double cabin and pulling out the car driver as well as the passenger.

The attackers kept thrashing the car driver while the passenger was seen fleeing the scene after scuffling with the attackers.

A twitter user tweeted the video that went viral, drawing widespread condemnation.

DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi took notice of the incident and asked the SP Cantonment to take action.

The police arrested three suspects, Kamran, Abid and Wajid, involved in the incident. The victim could not be identified and cause of the torture remained unknown.
