Two men electrocuted

KARACHI: Two men died from electrocution while a man was killed in a wall collapse accident in Surjani Town, police and rescue services officials.

Area SHO Akhlag Ahmed said that 16-yearold Awais Asif suffered an electric shock at a shop in Sector-7-D and died.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

He said that the body of an unidentified man was found near an eye hospital in Sector-7-B at around 5pm. He died from electrocution.

A man died and another wounded when a wall of a shop collapsed due to the impact of the rain and strong winds in Sector-7-A near Tanki Stop.

The deceased person was in his early 40s whose identity could not be ascertained till late in the night, he added.

Rain count According to the Met department, the maximum rain was recorded in Surjani Town 58.2mm followed by old airport area 31.1mm, Orangi town 30mm, PAF Faisal Base 16mm, Met Complex area (UniversityRoad)19.8mm and Saadi town 15mm, Quaidabad 12mm, Gulshan-i-Hadeed 12mm, North Karachi 8.6mm, Kaemari 6.5mm, Gu1s h a n i-M ay m a r 7.4mm, PAF Base Masroor 2mm, Nazimabad 4mm, Korangi 4mm, Ibrahim Hyderi 2mm and Malir Halt 3mm.

Trace was recorded in DHA Phase II.

The maximum temperature recorded was 38.5 degrees Celsius with humidity recorded at 5pm was 85 per cent.
