LAHORE: An accountability court on Friday extended judicial remand of Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills reference while granted one-time exemption from personal appearance to his father Shahbaz Sharif.
The NAB officials presented Hamza before judge Naeem Arshad on expiry of his judicial remand.
Defence counsel Amjad Pervez filed an application before the court and sought one-time exemption for Shahbaz as he was in Islamabad owing to joint session of the parliament.
The judge allowed the application and adjourned hearing till Aug 21.
