TOBA TEK SINGH: Two youths drowned in Ravi River floodwater in a breach created near Khan Da Chak on Chichawatni Road in Kamalia on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses said Muzammal, a student of Govt College of Technology, Kamalia, tried to pass through a 50-foot wide breach but he started drowning. A youth, Shahbaz, attempted to rescue him, but they both drowned.

Rescue 1122 divers recovered their bodies.

Muzammal was a resident of Chak 115/15-L, Mian Channu, while Shahbaz was a resident of Khan Da Chak, Kamalia.
