KASUR: Ganda Singh police on Sunday arrested a suspect on charge of raping a 12-yer-old girl in the border area village of Kharaiper.

According to the first information report, the suspect had abducted the girl and took her to the fields where he allegedly raped her and escaped. Police registered the case on the complaint of the girl`s father.

TWO DIE: Two motorcyclists died in as many road incidents.

Munawar Hussain of Okara was going home from Lahore on a motorcycle when it was hit by a trailer near village Dina Nath. As a result, Hussain suffered serious injuries. He was being shifted to hospital when he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the trailer managed his escape. In a separate case, Sajid Ali of village Soay Asal was going to his home from Kasur on motorcycle when it had a collision with a tractor-trolley near Pakki Haveli. Sajid died on the spot.-Correspondent
