LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA Shoaib Siddiqui has submitted an adjournment motion to the Punjab Assembly about the death of three children in Lahore who were trapped in open manholes.

In his motion, Mr Siddiqui said four-year-old Junaid lost hislifeafterfallingintoagutter in Amin Park, one-and-ahalf-year-old Fizza died in Shahdara and three-year-old Yousaf Ayaz drowned in a manhole in Misri Shah.

He said billions of rupees were being spent in Lahore but the civic agencies had failed to meet even basic standards to protect human lives.

In another resolution, Mr Siddiqui said the lifts of Fatima Block in Ganga Ram Hospital had been dysfunctional since long. He said the health department didn`t take any step for repair.
