Shia cleric moves court for bail

KARACHI: The chief of All Pakistan Shia Action Committee on Wednesday moved court for bail in a case pertaining to instigation to violence.

Allama Mirza Yusuf Hussain, a former leader of the Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM), was remanded to prison a couple of days ago for allegedly instigating people to violence in Sharifabad af ter the murder of civil rights campaigner Khurram Zaki in May.

The Shia cleric through his lawyer moved the bail application before the administrative judge of anti-terrorism courts, Karachi, and the application was sent to the ATC-IX for hearing.
