LAHORE: As many as 92 schools participated in the 12-14 age group on Saturday and seven teams qualified for the L ahore semi-finals of the 15th Dawn In Education Spelling Bee Competition to be held on Monday (Nov 11).

The pronouncers at the event held in collaboration with the MCB were Tanwir Shah and David Purrington.

The judges were Parkhanda Shakil, Ismat Riaz, Uzma Khan and Saima Nazir.

The qualified teams/ schools were PakTurk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, G Block Khayabane-i-Amin, Lahore; Angels School System, Senior Girls, Daska, Sialkot; PakTurk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, Boys Branch, Raiwind Road, Lahore; PakTurk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, Dream Gardens, Lahore; Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School, Nowshera Vikran; PakTurk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, Asifa Irfan, Airline Society, Lahore; and Aitchison College, Lahore.

The city of Friday`s winning school Angels School System was erroneously printed as Lahore. The correct name is Angels School System, Senior Girls, Daska, Sialkot.Staf f Reporter
