NOWSHERA, Dec 9: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Jamaat-i-Islami would launch a `million march` and stage sit-in outside Parliament House and the US Embassy in Islamabad if federal government failed to stop drone attacks in Fata and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Provincial Senior Minister Sirajul Haq.

Addressing a public meeting here on Monday, he said that Americans always sabotaged peace efforts whenever the government and Taliban agreed to hold dialogue. They never showed any respect to Pakistan`s sovereignty, he added.

The minister said that America had sabotaged all those negotiations be-tween Taliban and the government by carrying out drone attacks. `The army, federal government and all stakeholders have to be taken into confidence before starting negotiation with Taliban,` he added.

He urged the government to reinitiate the process of talks as it was need of the hour. He said that provincial government was trying to bring a perfect system of local governments.

The coalition partners in the provincial government were planning to contest local bodies` elections from a joint platform, Mr Siraj said. He alleged that federal government was not giving due share to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The JI leader said that implementa-tion of Islamic system in the country was the only solution to peoples` problems.

JI was trying to end the corrupt system once for all in the country, he added.

The minister said that the country was passing through a critical phase but the federal government was not sincere to resolve the problems of people. He asked the government employees to serve people honestly. He said that provincial government was holding meetings with all officers at district level to get knowledge of their problems.

Mr Siraj alleged that previous government exploited the resource of the province and violated merit. `Now the government is trying to utilise the provincial resources properly,` he added.
