Free medical camps in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Doctors at four medical camps held under the `Sehat Ka Insaf` programme on Monday examined more than 3,000 patients, officials said.

`The camps are being held on every Monday where people are provided free diagnostic services as well as medicines,` they said.

Majority of the patients suffered from acute respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection and anaemia.

Officials said that camps were organised in Malakandher Shinwaro Kallay, Urmar Bala, Hazarkhwani and Akunabad localities.

A total of 3,474 patients including women and children were examined by the doctors, officials said. They added that the camps would continue as part of PTFs Sehat Ka Insaf programme under which children were also vaccinated against nine vaccinepreventable childhood ailments.

Officials said that a total of 457,583 children were administered oral polio vaccine during the campaign on Sunday last.
