By Our Staff Reporter 2020-02-11
LAHORE: The PPP says it cannot be deterred from holding its anti-government march through tactics like notices toitsleadership by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

`Whenever Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari announces a protest drive against the government, NAB begins issuing notices,` PPP Punjab President QamarZaman Kaira alleges.

Such notices cannot check the way of Mr Bilawal, he says in a statement here on Monday, adding that NAB has already damaged its repute through such steps.

The tactics, he vows, cannot deter the party from holding the protest march as announced by the PPP chairman, predicting that the new NAB `attack` will fail like earlier ones and the authorities will not succeed inblackmailing the party.

He alleges that price-hike has crushed the poor while the government is engaged in political vendetta instead of resolving problems of the people.

Meanwhile, PPP Parliamentary Leader of in Punjab Assembly Syed Hassan Murtaza has dubbed Imran Khan a `Banarsi Thug`.

He warns that the people will have to face unprecedented innation in the near future `due to incompetency of the thug`. Heregrets to point out that insulin, a generic medicine, has become dearer as its one standard vial is now being sold at an exorbitant rate of Rs4,500 and the drug has virtually gone out of the purchasing price of poor patients.

Mr Murtaza blames Prime Minister Imran Khan for polluting the national politics and political culture by leveling allegations against his political rivals without coming up with evidence in any single case.
