Last year, the undersigned (Consumer No. 347330000 [4]) was sent a bill to the tune of Rs2,310 when the consumption of gas in an apartment occupied by two people was, and still is, in three figures. After a letter was published in these columns, the excess amount was subsequently removed.

This time, it has been worse; the bill stands at Rs6,146. The bill carried a phone number (3561990) for filing complaints. Till the time of writing these lines, 21 futile attempts had been made to establish contact. Will the SSGC repeat history and take a remedial step? AsifNoorani Karachi
