TAXILA: Police on Monday booked 16 suspects, including four identified and 12 unidentified persons, for trashing the cantonment board officials and ransacking their official vehicle during an antiencroachment drive against car bazaar on G.T.

The enforcement inspector, Dilawar Khan, while lodging first investigation report (FIR), stated that he was removing encroachments during an antiencroachment drive in the car bazaar, when as many as 16 people equipped with different weapons, attacked the anti-encroachment team and beat them.

He said the suspects also ransacked the official vehicle and blocked G.T. Road.
