Fund`s misappropriation Cricket official suspended

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Dera District Cricket Association (DCA) Secretary Muhammad Amjad Hussain was suspended from job over allegations of misappropriating funds provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to an initial inquiry by PCB officials, complaint s were re ceive d regarding financial irregularities in the PCB Inter Club Tournament and other cricketing events.

The inquiry reportedly found that the bills for cricket balls submitted by Hussain were fraudulent and that written complaints against him were substantiated.

Following these findings, Abdullah Khurram Niazi, director of domes-tic cricket operations, issued an official suspension order. Hussain has been barred from overseeing DCA D.G. Khan`s affairs until further notice, pending a full investigation.

The PCB has announced the formation of an inquiry committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.

The decision has been communicated to the PCB chief operating officer and the senior general manager of domestic cricket operations for further action.

The PCB had appointed former Test cricketer Shabir Ahmed as a coach in Dera Ghazi Khan, but he resigned from the position. Since his resignation, the post of coach has remained vacant for the past year.
