TOBA TEK SINGH: Two children were severely burnt in a fire which broke out at their house near Madni Mosque Chowk in Dijkot on Thursday.

Rescue 1122 identified the children as Muhammad Azan and Muhammad Talal. They were playing by burning papers in the room that spread to the house. More than 50pc of bodies of both children`s bodies were burnt. Both were shifted to Allied Hospital`s burn unit.

DIES: A woman complainant died of a heart attack outside the office of assistant commissioner at Shorkot on Thursday.

Reports said the deceased, identified as IqbalMai,wifeofManzoor, a resident of Qaim Bharwana, came with an application in the AC office where she suddenly felt pain in her chest.

The AC called Rescue 1122 and she was shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital (THQ) where she expired.

BOOKED: Dijkot, Faisalabad police registered a case against a petrol pump staffer and his six accomplices on the charge of attacking a price control magistrate.

Complainant Israr Ahmad, the Dijkot municipal committee chief officer with powers of a magistrate, claimed in his FIR that he raided Mahboob Filling Station and caught less measurement of pet-rol. At this, one Abdul Ghaffar and his six accomplices attacked him, ransacked his official car and stole Rs145,000 from his car. Police arrested the accused.

RECOVERED: A married woman kidnapped on Dec 19, 2024 from Chak 58 RBRajuta, Jaranwala,was recovered during a raid in Multan by Faisalabad`s Balochni police on Wednesday night.

Complainant Mukhtar Ahmad of Chak 63 RB had claimed in his FIR registered by Balochni police under section 496-A that his niece Mavra Bibi went to get medicine for her ailing four-year-old daughter but did not return. After three weeks, she telephoned and informed the complainant that she and her daughter were abducted by Nabeel of Mananwala, Sheikhupura, and his two unidentified accomplices. Police traced Nabeel and recovered her and her daughter.

RAPE: A private school owner allegedly raped a daughter of a widow at Kamalia.

Complainant `S` of Jhonnayshahwala alleged in her FIR registered by Kamalia Saddar police under section 376 of PPC that her daughter worked as maid in the school of suspect `R` in Madinaabad locality.

The complainant said the suspect came to her home on some pretext, overpowered her daughter and raped her while she was not at home. Police have arrested the suspect.
