QUETTA: Balochistan remained cut off from rest of the country for several hours after the main railway tracks near the Dasht area of Mastung district were blown up on Thur sday.
The Levies Force officials said that unidentified men planted an explosive device on the tracks some 30km from Quetta, with an aim to target a Lahore-bound train.
The explosive device, however, exploded before the passenger train reached the Dasht area.
`A two-foot-long portion of the railway line blew up due to the blast which rocked the entire area,` Levies officials said.
