Salu rejects faculty`s allegations

KHAIRPUR: The Shah Abdul Latif University (Salu), Khairpur, administration rejected the allegations levelled against it by the teachers` association of the institution regarding unavailability of proper basic facilities at its campuses, non-payment of MS, MPhil and PhD allowances to certain scholars and victimisation of teachers.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the administration responded to the allegations made during a meeting of the association`s council.
The statement said that no faculty member was being victimised. It explained that rules and regulations were adhered to in all affairs of the university. It also claimed that all basic facilities, including electricity, office accommodation and transport, were available at Salu campuses.
It also clarified that the MS, MPhil and PhD allowances would be disbursed as per the decision of Salu syndicate for which a meeting would be held very soon.
It claimed that there was no backlog and pending files; the pay fixation files and others pertaining to service matters were being processed normally. It rejected the association`s allegations of corruption and bad management, saying that financial matters were vetted in the pre-audit process.
